MORE PIX FROM VACATION!!
VACATION!!
Just got back from sunny Florida!!
The fam' and I visited Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure and had an absolute blast!
The Marvel Comics area was especially cool as it was very sweet to see all the signage by the Kuberts and Bachalo. (Who did the art in the first pic? One of the Rons; Garney or Frenz, maybe?) The kids had a blast posing with the characters, too!!
Jurassic Park area was right up my alley, too. I loved the movies and, really, ANYTHING with dinos is cool in my book!!
NASCAR restaurant was something to see as they had some cars sitting outside to check out. Plus, I could get my picture as one of the Coca-Cola drivers; right between two of my fave drivers; Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart. The food was pretty good, too.
We always, ALWAYS, visit the LEGO store in Downtown Disney every time we go to the Orlando area and this year was no different. We even got some personalized LEGO blocks!! (We LOVE the LEGOs!!)

ART, ART, ART, AND MORE ART!! Plus, comics.

My son, Logan, and I had a wonderful time meeting a guy by the name of Stuart Sayger at this year's Pittsburgh Comicon.
Logan and I know him from the LEGO comic Bionicle. We have a great time reading this book when it comes in the mail. Although Stuart no longer does the book, he's THE Bionicle artist in OUR opinion. The first issue Logan received in the mail was Bionicle: Ignition #1 and it was nice to have Stuart sign it to Logan.
SUPER nice guy and we got some art from him, too!! Pretty cool, huh?!?!!?
Speaking of art...
;)-
I have some more art on the way...
World of Warcraft art to be precise.
From THE (imho) WoW artist himself, JONBOY! Meyers.
!!!!
Plus, a commission of my fave Wildstorm character, too!!
I can't wait!!
More news soon.
Check out my CAF gallery in the meantime.
Comic reviews now...
Fell by Warren Ellis and Ben Templesmith. NICE. I've pretty much always enjoyed both of these guys and together they make magic.
Dead Space. Another Ben Templesmith book. Um, it's cool. I only have the first issue so far, but I am pleasently surprised by how this book hooked me already. Very creepy and nothing has really even happened yet!
My main man Cal McDonald is back with My Demon Baby. Dudes/dudettes, Steve's BEST characters appear in this series. I mean the 30 Days of Night stuff is great, but... MAN!! Cal and Mo' bring it every single outing!! If you're not buying this, you should be.
Conan from DH. Likewise. This book is easily one of the very best books on the market today. Tim Truman has made me forget Kurt Busiek and the same Tomas Giorello on art.
Fantastic Four by Millar and Hitch. Yeah... okay. I wish these guys weren't doing this book. I don't need to be buying anything else. Big surprise, (yes, MUCHO sarcasm) but these guys have done it again. Great, great book.
Brian Bendis is working magic as usual with New and Mighty Avengers and Secret Wars #1 was surprising GREAT. For as much as I really digs Brian's work, I didn't think Secret Wars was going to be any good. Glad I'm wrong.
Tha's all for now.

It's Here!!

Well, it's finally here...
And I shouldn't have even MENTIONED the art I was waiting for.
'Member I told you that the last time I was highly anticipating a piece of art what happened?
Is why I wasn't posting it sos I didn't jinx it?
Well, FEDex didn't take care of my package from Mark and the corner of my art is kinda crushed.
Art I've been waiting a year for is damaged, but...
It's not good, but it's not horrible and my art (as you can see) is
AWESOME!!!
Thank you Jon and Mark!!

Comics!
Action Comics recently had a three issue storyline that featured art by Eric Powell that is REALLY good. I didn't think that Eric would be a good fit for this title, but I was wrong! Now, I have to find the entire run of 'the Goon'!!
Steve Niles continues to wow me on his Criminal Macabre series (no matter who is publishing it). Cal McDonald is a great pulp character and I'll punch anybody dead in the face if they say otherwise. Trying to summon my inner Cal there... My only wish is that the LONG delayed Supernatural Freak Machine finally sees the light of day!
Walter Simonson, Ludo Lullabi, and Sandra Hope are cranking out a hellaciously good time on Wildstorm's World of Warcraft series!! If you're into any kind of fantasy graphic fiction, this is can't miss. Now, it's no Conan, but I feel it is just as good as the Death Dealer series Image just put out. Speaking of Frazetta's creations; can't wait for the other graphic novels that Image is going to be releasing showcasing his characters.
Christos Cage can do no wrong in my eyes. Wildstorm's Revelation mini series is a lot of fun. Some more "cannot waits" from Wildstorm are on the way, too!!

Yeah, yeah.
Well, at least we weren't a number 2 seed and lost to Davidson!
BIG EAST CHAMPS!
Thanx Panthers for another exciting year of college hoops!

New Art!
I am so excited!
I have a new piece of art headed my way!
It may be my favorite out of all my pieces.
And that's saying something...
Some of my art may be worth more MONEY, but because of everything that goes along with this piece, it has the most sentimental value.
I don't wanna jinx it, as the last time I was this excited about receiving a piece of art, the package it came in was caught out in a rain storm!! (The art is okay, but, JEEZ, what a heart attack!!) This is why I'm not posting it on any 'pages' of mine until I have it in my possession...

Profile!
Don't know if anyone actually looks at this thing, but I decided to tell ya a little about myself.
I initially only created this thing so I could communicate with some of my favorite comic book creators and give them feedback/accolades on their work, but I figured they might wanna know who is pestering them all the time so they could avoid me if they ever come to the Pittsburgh Comicon!
;)-
I have a space on myspace, but that efing thing causes me headaches, so I may just use this thing to post my thoughts, ideas, complaints, on.
Tha's all for now!
Don't forget, TV rots your brain... READ COMICS!!
